20 week ultrasound

Well, I'm actually at 19 weeks and 2/7 days.
The ultrasound yesterday was a great experience.
Paul picked me up from work around 2pm and we headed over to the ob's office.
The weather was warm and it was sunny.
We got called rather quickly by the ultrasonographer, Michelle. She isn't our usually u/s b/c Therese is out.
The whole ultrasound took about 20-25 minutes.
We saw the tibia/fibula, femur, lateral ventricles, cerebellum, 4 chambers of the heart, the spine, and hands and feet, the profile of the face---and then with about 95% certainty, she saw the 3 folds in the pelvic region and no obvious penis--so she is calling it a girl!! I smiled at Paul with a knowing look. He is delighted as well, but I am especially delighted about the 95% with certainty its a girl-girl.
We saw Dr. Bartol very briefly and then as we left---the predicted thunderstorm began and boy was it a thunderstorm--with hail and non-stop rain. There was flooding in the streets and the mulch on our slope was sliding down--not fun to watch.
I called Jessie and Mom. Jessie was able to finally tell the kids--and Ellie is already providing name choices!
Audrey looked thoughtfully at the ultrasound pictures as we pointed out "the baby."
I am starting to feel better about things. I even took a walk/jog yesterday morning now that I am finally starting to feel better.
So, I am nearly half way through this journey and am starting to look forward to things.
Meanwhile, Paul is working quite a lot of week nights and weekends of late!
